Okay, okay, some of the ideas listed below aren't super romantic, but that's where people go wrong on Valentines Day!

If you are looking for a "romantic" gift, the try the imaginative section that we've put together, but really, flowers die, chocolates get eaten and pretty much anything else that has been designed to be "romantic" is, to be honest, usually a bit tacky.

So think outside the valentine box this year, get her jewellery sure, but make sure it's something she's going to wear...and if you really have no idea what to do then chocolate - as a last resort! (but only after you've looked through this page. ^_^)

Valentine Present Ideas - Get Imaginative and Funny Present Ideas

It's Valentine's Day, and buying presents isn't your strong point, so get a few things that you can use instead, and make a day of it instead of just buying chocolates.

First set the mood - a lovely bath for your other half with candles all around. Then, a bed full of rose petals (awww!) and you're going to need massage oils, hot stones and a massager to get your other half set for...whatever you decide to make of those last three items! Now that's what I call a Valentine's gift!

Jewellery is always a good thing to go for, and yes, we've found a few heart items! (Personally I love that bracelet - how cute!) However, just because it's Valentine's Day, don't feel that you HAVE to get her heart shaped jewellery - if she's never going to wear it, whats the point! The second row we've found a few bags and scarves - bags are usually a safe bet, you can never have too many, but of course, if you're stuck what to get your girl, just ask her best friend for help!

Now, I'm a girl, and I know how hard it is to buy for boys, but I've really put a lot of effort into finding these ideas, so I hope they are useful, I think I did quite well in the end. =)

If they're always complaining about not having a partner then one of the first three ideas here could be for them. Failing that, you've got cufflinks to show what happens when you're not single, or Newtons cradle, which to be honest can keep you entertained for hours.

Make them breakfast or/and dinner, send a symbol of your love into the sky, give them a cute photo frame, or for the totally awkward people, chocolates it is!
